Agri Planet Africa has been working tirelessly in Kyangwali, Uganda, to cultivate land and plant various vegetables in a phased manner. Our mission is to create a resource center that will serve as a benchmark for sustainable agriculture practices in the region. We are proud of our current accomplishments as we continue to work towards our objectives. In this post, we will take you on a journey to see how we are doing our part in creating a greener and more sustainable future for the people of Kyangwali.

We started by creating three raised garden beds for our tomato plants. This planting technique is ideal for small spaces and has proven to yield impressive results. Our nurseries of bitter berries, eggplants, and African eggplant (Nakati) have also been thriving. We are committed to ensuring that our plants are 100% organic and that we use only eco-friendly and biodegradable products for pest control.

To further our sustainability efforts, we have hired one acre of land to cultivate maize. This initiative will not only help us become self-sufficient in maize production but also provide a steady source of income for our organization. We believe this will be a sustainable source of revenue in the future, and we are excited about its positive impact on our community.

One of our long-term goals is to create a local seed bank arrangement that will be accessible to farmers struggling to afford expensive seeds. Our plan is to provide farmers with quality seeds and educate them on how to plant and care for them. We believe this will be a significant milestone in the region, providing farmers with access to high-quality seeds and empowering them to become successful agribusiness entrepreneurs. In return, farmers will give back 110kgs of their harvest at the end of the season, which will help us maintain our seed bank.

Our efforts extend beyond just agriculture, as we also run a skills development program that provides vocational training for underprivileged youths. These skills will not only help them become financially independent but also give them a sense of purpose.

Agri Planet Africa is proud to be at the forefront of sustainable agriculture practices in Kyangwali, Uganda. Our dedication to creating a greener and more sustainable future has led us to develop innovative techniques that yield impressive results. We are committed to ensuring that our practices are eco-friendly and sustainable, and we believe that this will have a positive impact on our community.
